Innoblative Designs is a preclinical medical device company dedicated to commercializing a novel technology that will make the treatment of early-stage breast cancer faster, safer, more convenient, and less expensive. Developed by a team of surgeons and students at Northwestern University and Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the disposable radiofrequency ablation (RFA) probe is used intra-operatively to destroy potentially cancerous tissue lining the edges of the cavity created after removing a breast tumor, and reducing or eliminating the need for lengthy, dangerous, inconvenient, and expensive radiation therapy. Innoblative Designs is currently participating in Stage 2 of the E-Team program.
