What’s the biggest change or milestone your institution or venture has experienced since participating in VentureWell programming?
SunCulture has scaled significantly, now serving farmers across multiple African markets. The company has over 70% market share for smallholder farmer solar irrigation systems in sub-Saharan Africa, and we were selected by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer and by Fast Company as one of the World’s Most Innovative Companies.
Looking back, what advice would you give yourself at the start of your journey?
Solving big problems takes time. Stay focused, even when the path gets hard. Always listen to the customer, co-create solutions with them, and stay focused on solving the root problem, not just offering a quick fix. Build trust, deliver real value, and the growth will follow.
Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
In 10 years, we envision SunCulture as the world’s leading productivity platform for smallholder farmers—driving food security across Africa and beyond. By unlocking agricultural potential through cleantech, finance, and farmer services, we aim to be a global force in climate adaptation, mitigation, and rural economic empowerment.
