Andrea Wollensak is Professor of Art and Associate Director at the Ammerman Center for Arts and Technology at Connecticut College. As an artist whose work examines location, Wollensak mines the rich convergence of place, community, environment, and memory through digital and traditional media. Her work has been supported by grants (individual and co-written) from the National Science Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, International Artist Studio Program in Sweden (IASPIS), and Connecticut Commission on the Arts New Media Artist Fellowship. She holds a BFA from The University of Michigan and MFA from Yale University.
