Jennifer Mayo is a Senior at Oklahoma State University studying health education and promotion. In 2011, she spent two semesters living in India promoting health education and one month in Africa developing a school and doing preliminary work for a girl’s recovery home. Mayo is the owner of Pearl Health, a social venture to develop a new material for condoms, catheters, and gloves that will be better suited for developing countries. Mayo is the first and only undergraduate student to be accepted into the esteemed Riata Faculty Fellows for Entrepreneurship at OSU. She recently completed training for the University Innovation Fellows, a prestigious national program that empowers student leaders to catalyze more entrepreneurial activity on their campuses. Mayo’s future plans are to work with women in developing countries by teaching women’s health and sex education.
