Kimberly Benard began her whimsical career studying for a PhD in medieval travel literature with a special emphasis on Beowulf and Vikings at Fordham University. Along the way, she was recruited to work as the Assistant Director for Prestigious Fellowships at Fordham University, advising students on the most competitive national and international fellowship applications. Through a twist of fate, she moved to the Boston metro area in 2006 and began a thrilling adventure with more competitive scholarships with MIT students. She has had the great privilege to have worked with MIT students who are now CTOs, CEOs, medical doctors, research scientists, and humble Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman scholars. In her spare time, she enjoys teasing MIT students about the verbal section of the GRE.
