Lindsay Emery is the Business Development Manager for Linking Innovation, Industry and Commercialization (LIINC), a program run through the West Virginia University Office of Research and Economic Development. Ms. Emery has served as LIINC’s program manager since its inception in September, 2011. She was responsible for LIINC receiving the University Economic Development Association (UEDA) Awards of Excellence at the UEDA 2012 Annual Summit. Through LIINC, Ms. Emery initiates and coordinates partnerships between faculty researchers, graduate students, and the private sector. Areas of focus include bioscience and biomedical research, energy and environmental research, and security and intelligence research. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, she graduated from Duke University in 2010, receiving graduating honors with highest distinction in the linguistics department. In addition to managing the LIINC program, Lindsay is pursuing a Master’s degree in integrated marketing communications.
