Rachel Agoglia manages the grant-making process at NCIIA, ensuring the efficient intake, review, and finalization of all submitted student and faculty grant proposals and competition entries. She ensures procedural compliance on funded awards, manages pre and post award processes, and works in close liaison with institution-sponsored research staff. Rachel recruits and supports NCIIA’s external reviewers and works with NCIIA program staff to communicate with applicants, implement grants-related policies, and provide support to existing grantees. Rachel brings to NCIIA over a decade of prior nonprofit management and direct service experience, primarily from her work in Portland, Oregon and Providence, Rhode Island in the areas of hunger, education reform, and nonprofit consultation. She returned to her hometown in Western Massachusetts in 2007 to join the team at NCIIA. Rachel holds a BA in Women’s Studies from Bates College.
