Reneé Rock has taught management communication and entrepreneurship at California Lutheran University since 2007. She is a visiting professor at Berlin Institute for Professional Studies and Woodbury University. Prior to joining the CLU faculty full-time, she held joint faculty positions at California State University, Northridge and management positions in the technology, aerospace, nonprofit, and venture capital industries.
An award-winning serial entrepreneur, she is the 2014 winner of the MITx Global Start-up Competition Bootcamp at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is currently the co-founder of UpLook, an early-stage technology startup company out of MITx.
An accomplished innovation strategist, Reneé is well-known for her work in identifying new revenue streams for both start-up and growth-stage companies. As managing director of business development for Summit Venture Strategies from 2002 to 2007, she served as interim vice president of marketing and business development at several start-up companies.
Her interests include disruptive innovation, big data analytics, ideation, team formation, creating innovation-driven communities, strategic corporate communications, and new venture feasibility analysis.
