NeoVent’s patent pending device provides respiratory support to infants by delivering positive pressure to prevent lung collapse. it is a simple, energy efficient, safe, reliable and inexpensive way to provide dual pressure treatment to hospitals with limited resources. The device is built to function as an add on to existing bubble CPAP setups which are widely used in developing countries for their low cost and ease of use. By simply replacing the exhaust pipe with the NeoVent mechanism, centers currently equipped for CPAP can now deliver NIPPV or biphasic positive airway pressure (biphasic).
