Christina Pellicane is the Executive Manager of the NYC Regional Innovation Node, funded by the National Science Foundation for $3.74M, as the northeast NSF I-Corps Node led by CUNY in partnership with NYU and Columbia. She also serves as CUNY’s manager of the PowerBridgeNY program, funded by NYSERDA for $10M. In this position, she has helped form 20+ I-Corps teams, brought in over $1M of commercialization grants to the region, coached several life science startups, and participated in multiple NSF I-Corps cohorts. She is a national I-Corps teaching team member and a regional instructor at schools and incubators in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Prior to joining NYCRIN, Ms. Pellicane served as the Clinical Business Administrator and Study Monitor at AlcheraBio, a veterinary CRO. As a Research Associate at the biotech startup Venenum Biodesign, she worked with scientists to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutics, some of which have been patented. Ms. Pellicane holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Animal Science from the University of Georgia as well as a Master of Business and Science with a concentration in Biotechnology and Genomics from Rutgers University.
