ArtCenter College of Design
Dan Gottlieb is an ArtCenter Associate Professor who has successfully co-led multiple VentureWell grant-funded courses and programs, including the award-winning Safe Agua initiative to design innovative water solutions for Latin American communities with no running water, which produced multiple student E-Team grantees. Dan was awarded ArtCenter’s 2012 Great Teacher Award, the 2007 Nuckolls Fund for Lighting Education Grant, and has lead international educational collaborations, including the Pacific Rim Projects in Tokyo, Japan with Tama Art University. He co-leads the design studio, Padlab, and is an internationally respected expert in materials research and innovation, illumination technology/design, and spatial installation design. In 2003, Dan received his Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture.
