Noah Isserman

Noah Isserman

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

Noah is focused on the financing and future of social goods. In addition to his dual appointments in Social Work and Business Administration, he is facilitating and directing the university-wide Social Innovation at Illinois initiative. His research focuses on 1) emerging models of financing and delivering social services across all three sectors of social and economic life, 2) the practices and ecosystem of support for entrepreneurial activity, and 3) supporting entrepreneurship and its role in the future of education. These interests are manifested with research that, for example 1) examines emerging models of multi-sector philanthropy in Britain, funded by the Henry Steele Commager and Gates Cambridge Trusts, 2) explores potential structures to fund and manage planetary defense against asteroids, funded by NASA.
