Sonnet Hui is Executive Project Director for Hazens Group U.S., where she is currently overseeing the entitlement, development, and design of a $700-million project to turn the Luxe City Center Hotel and two adjacent parcels into a flagship luxury high-rise in downtown Los Angeles’ fastest growing district. Scheduled to begin construction in 2017, the mixed-use development will include 650 luxury condos, 250 hotel rooms and 80,000 square feet of commercial space. Prior to joining Hazens Group, Ms. Hui was a senior associate at Steinberg Architects, where she served as lead designer for some of the firm’s most innovative projects. Among those projects was The Garage, an educational space created for a unique interdisciplinary program — the Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young (a.k.a. Dr. Dre) Academy — at the University of Southern California.
