Industrial and environmental designer Stella Hernandez brings her expertise to co-teaching the University of Southern California’s Social Innovation Design Lab. As faculty at ArtCenter College of Design, Stella has instructed environmental design, design for sustainability and social impact studios. Stella received her B.S. with honors in environmental design from ArtCenter and her B.A. in industrial design from Xavier University Bogota, Colombia. As owner of StellaH Design, her work focuses on interior architecture, exhibition, furniture / lighting design and architectural model making, and designing for high end residential and commercial spaces. Her work has received significant recognition, including: first place, AIA interior architecture student competition; Loft project exhibited at Architecture+Design museum, LA; several exhibitions and awards for “Safe Agua Chile” team project, including IDSA bronze design excellence award, Design for the Other 90% exhibition at the United Nations headquarters, NY, publication by the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum.
