Alison Hynd is Director for Programs at the MIT Public Service Center. She also runs public service fellowship and internship programs that provide opportunities for MIT students to use their education, skills, and talents to address the needs of underserved communities around the world. Alison has an MA in Archaeology from the University of Edinburgh, UK, and an MSc and PhD in Palaeoecology from the University of Sheffield, UK. She has carried out archaeological and ecological fieldwork in Cyprus, Syria, Greece, Spain, France and Britain.
