Dr. Molly Wasko is an associate professor and department chair at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she teaches primarily strategic information technologies, corporate information security, web analytics and project management. Dr. Wasko is also the Chief Technology Officer for the high-tech company inDegree, and is responsible for overseeing sales, operations and research and development. Dr. Wasko is currently serving as a member of the Executive Committee for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Center for Clinical and Translational Science, where she provides a critical bridge between the Academic Units in the areas of Life Sciences and the Academic Units in the Social Sciences. Her role with the CCTS is oversee CCTS activities related to sustainability, primarily in the areas of knowledge transfer and new knowledge creation, and the commercialization of intellectual property. After receiving her MBA from Averett University she obtained her doctorate in MIS from the University of Maryland, College Park.
