Steven Tello

Steven Tello is associate vice chancellor for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development and an associate professor in the Manning School of Business. As associate vice chancellor, Steve works to develop and implement strategic initiatives related to entrepreneurship, innovation and economic development. Tello co-founded the University’s undergraduate concentration in Entrepreneurship in 2007 and founded the interdisciplinary MS in Innovation and Technological Entrepreneurship in 2010.  He has served as co-director of the University’s Massachusetts Medical Device Development Center (M2D2) and currently serves as the campus liaison to the Merrimack Valley Sandbox, an entrepreneurial outreach program supported by the Deshpande Foundation. These joint appointments allow him to combine his passion for teaching with research examining how to best promote the commercialization of emerging technologies.
