Manmeet Singh is an undergraduate student at the California State University, Sacramento. She is a Biology major with a concentration in Cell and Molecular Biology, and a minor in Chemistry. She has been working as the Research Project Manager at Stem Cell Partners, LLC for the past three years. The founder of Stem Cell Partners, LLC is John R. Chapman, PhD, who is also her PI. She participated in a team competition this past year (January 2014) at the CSU Program for Education and Research in Biotechnology (CSUPERB) Early Commercialization, Idea-2-Product Competition, presenting a project called StemPATCH, and won first place. In addition, she had the opportunity to participate in the National Science Foundation’s I-Corps Program in the summer of 2014 at the University of Michigan, presenting a project called the Autologous Thrombin Device. Her team won the award for being the team that truly represented the spirit of the I-Corps Program as well as $50,000 to fund research.
