Ariel DuChene is the Assistant Dean for External Relations at Syracuse University’’s College of Engineering and Computer Science. In her role she is responsible for the marketing, branding and communication efforts of the college, in addition to alumni relations, strategic planning and supporting the college’’s advancement office. She serves at the liaison for the college for its entrepreneurial efforts including the support of its Spark Competition, Invention and Creativity Competition and communication to students regarding entrepreneurial opportunities. DuChene teaches Business Planning for New Ventures, a one-credit course designed to give engineering and computer science students access to entrepreneurial concepts. She is co-chair of marketing and communications for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District II conference. DuChene is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Applied Economics and Management and holds an MBA from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester.
