Lawrence Technological University
Don Carpenter is a Professor of Civil Engineering at Lawrence Tech, where he teaches courses on engineering design, water resources, and ethics. His university appointments have included serving as University Director of Assessment (2009-12) and was Founding Director for the university’s Center for Teaching and Learning (2005-08). He has conducted funded pedagogical research and development projects, published numerous educational papers, and delivered dozens of faculty development workshops on innovative engineering education across the U.S. and internationally. In 2006, the Kern Family Foundation named Dr. Carpenter a Kern Fellow for Entrepreneurial Education and in 2014 he was named the national Most Outstanding Faculty member for the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network.
