Gregory Gardner is currently a second-year medical student at the University of Utah. He also serves as the co-president of Bench-to-Bedside, a student-led medical device design competition for health sciences, business, and engineering students. Clinically, he is interested in cardiology and electrophysiology. He is also currently interested in medical device design and the interplay between entrepreneurship and medicine. Prior to medical school, Gardner graduated from the University of Utah with BS and MS degrees in biomedical engineering, with an emphasis on cardiac electrophysiology and medical image processing, as well as a minor in chemistry. He has three years of experience working in a cardiology research laboratory dedicated to leveraging medical imaging modalities to better assess and manage atrial fibrillation. They were able to develop novel image processing tools which have since been rolled into a start up company.
