Joseph Zinter is the Assistant Director of the new Yale Center for Engineering Innovation and Design (CEID), a 10,000 sq. ft. facility aimed at encouraging and supporting cross-disciplinary collaboration, idea generation, and realization of technologies to improve the human experience. He also lectures and conducts workshops on design thinking, engineering design, prototyping, and design and commercialization of technology in developing world contexts. Prior to joining Yale he acted as Design Preceptor at the Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He holds a BS (Columbia University) and MS (Cornell University) in Applied Physics, and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Yale University).
