Molly Eckman is a junior studying Biomedical Engineering at Penn State University, where she is also a member of the Schreyer Honors College. She helps with writing journal articles about the Humanitarian Engineering and Social Entrepreneurship (HESE) program as an undergraduate research assistant. Mollys previous work in HESE included traveling to Kenya to investigate the feasibility of using handgrip strength as a low-cost way to screen for diabetes. She is interested in innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration and how to create a foundation for the productive convergence of disciplines.
