Tom Schryver is the Executive Director of the Center for Regional Economic Advancement at Cornell University. In that role, he led the formation of the Southern Tier Innovation Hot Spot, Rev: Ithaca Startup Works, and Cornells START-UP NY strategy. He is an experienced entrepreneur having served as a startup founder and senior executive of high-growth companies. Tom is a member of the teaching team for eLab, Cornells student business accelerator, and helped found a new entrepreneurship program at Ithaca College. Previously, he served as the Director of Finance for a $250m family foundation, starting its venture capital investment program and leading it to top-quartile investment returns. He holds an AB and MBA from Cornell University, where he was awarded the Fried Fellowship for leadership and academic excellence. He is a CFA charterholder, and serves on the boards of Tompkins County Area Development and the Cornell Agriculture and Food Technology Park.
