We’re excited to announce our 2018 Faculty Grant awardees! We’re giving over $320k to faculty and staff from 17 institutions to support the creation or improvement of courses and programs that engage students in STEM-based entrepreneurship. Learn more about the grantees here.
The 18 new grantees include:
Sustainable Sport Product Innovation Ecosystems (University of Oregon) – New studio courses for Sports Product Design (SPD) graduate students that integrates sustainability principles into curriculum. Through mentorship with experts in SPD and green design, the courses will provide students with experiential learning experiences around environmentally-conscious product design across a wide variety of sports product innovation ecosystems.
WomenLead in Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Georgia State University) – The WomenLead Innovation and Entrepreneurship program will support female students through the process of building a profitable and scalable solution to a validated customer problem. Through innovation-focused academic programs, co-curricular workshops, speaker series, and incubator programs that provide mentorship and access to funding, the program challenges students to use emerging technologies to innovate on business models they will create to solve a problem.
Global Social Impact Fellowship (Lehigh University) – A new program to support interdisciplinary student teams developing technology-based social ventures in low-income countries. The courses, workshops, retreats, and immersive experiences provide experiential learning, research, and entrepreneurial engagement to students who are leading ventures with in-country partners in several countries.
