Incorporating Industry Partnerships into an I-Corps Program

The Penn I-Corps Site is an extra-curricular program to guide students and faculty in validating their startup ideas and creating companies. The program combines lean startup education, tech transfer, funding, mentorship, company formation services, and exposure to industrial experts. A key element of the program is developing partnerships with industry in an impactful way. Our industry partners provide training, mentorship, and connection to potential customers. Our program is not focused on monetary support.

This unique structure advances the field of invention, innovation, and entrepreneurship education by combining university and industry resources in a hands-on manner.
